Fla.’s Housing Market: Inventory, Median Prices Rise in March

ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida’s housing market in March and the first quarter (1Q) of 2023 had more for-sale inventory (active listings) and higher median sales prices compared to a year ago, according to Florida Realtors®’ latest housing data.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida remained the top destination of foreign buyers purchasing U.S. residential real estate in 2022, with 24% of all foreign buyers who bought residential property in the United States, according to the 2022 International Transactions in U.S. Residential Real Estate report from the National Association of Realtors® (NAR).

New Home Size: Smaller, Bigger, Smaller Again

ORLANDO, Fla. – Following a brief uptick in new home sizes in 2021, the average size of a new home dropped slightly – 45 square feet – from 2,525 square feet to 2,480 square feet in 2022, according to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
