Florida Realtors Lobbies Legislation Affecting HOA/Condo Associations
New Condo Reforms Become Law As a Result of the 2022 Special Session
We want to make sure community associations continue to serve their residents properly and abide by all appropriate laws and regulations that govern them.
Given its beautiful climate, inviting communities and strong economy, it’s no wonder nearly a thousand people move to Florida every day. Florida already has a substantial amount of planned communities and condominiums in place to support its growing population and more are being built every year.
Many of these communities are governed by associations that exist to uphold the ideals of the residents living in them, as well as maintain certain levels of aesthetics to keep them attractive and welcoming. Florida has many laws and regulations that serve as a framework for these community associations as they go about creating their bylaws and governing within them.
Since these laws and regulations often impact the business of Realtors and the homeowners they serve, Florida Realtors monitors and, when appropriate, lobbies proposed legislation that affects community associations.
