Stacy Stahl: This Realtor® Builds Success One Agent at a Time

KEY WEST, Fla. – Several years ago, with 20 years in real estate under her belt, Stacy Stahl, broker-owner of Realty ONE Group Destination in Key West, decided it was time to leverage her experience to help others achieve similar success. “I've been a Realtor® for two decades, and it was the perfect time in my career to step out on my own and create a space where I could mentor and support other agents,” she said.

Her journey from being a broker associate to owning her brokerage is rooted in a passion for homes and design, a love nurtured from her childhood days spent in her family's floor covering business outside of New York City.

Stahl is one of 20 Realtors in the first class to become a Florida Realtors® Board Certified Professional, a new endorsement for Realtors who have reached the pinnacle of their profession and fulfilled leadership, education and skill-based achievements over the life of their real estate careers.

Realty ONE Group Destination may be small with just nine agents, but Stahl’s vision is not about size – it’s about quality and personal growth. “Our agents are experienced, and they’ve come to us seeking to enhance their business. Our franchise model empowers them to achieve their goals, and I work closely with each one to provide the support they need,” she explains. Stahl’s method is far from one-size-fits-all. Instead, she focuses on understanding the individual needs of each agent and crafting personalized plans to help them succeed.

While she is open to expanding her team, she emphasizes that growth must be strategic and aligned with the brokerage's culture. "I want agents who respect our way of doing business and are open to new ideas. It's about finding the right fit, not just increasing our numbers," Stacy notes.

Mentorship is at the heart of Stahl’s approach. She recounts a success story of an agent who struggled to break into the Key West market. "We worked together to build her sphere, which is crucial in our small market where everyone knows a Realtor. Through thoughtful encouragement and hands-on guidance, she was able to close deals and even turn clients into referral sources," says Stahl.

Her emphasis on consistency and building personal connections over purely digital interactions has proven effective, especially in a tight-knit community like Key West.

Beyond her brokerage, Stacy is involved in the local community. She serves as the president of the Mystic Crew of Key West, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting local charities focused on children, animals, and schools. "We've raised funds for various causes, from paying off lunch debt to supporting our high school band. Our most recent project was donating $1,500 to a local food pantry to help combat hunger among students," she says.

Stacy's leadership and mentoring style are shaped by her personal experiences and a belief in individualized growth. She leverages the coaching resources provided by Realty ONE Group and combines them with her own insights to offer tailored support to her agents. "I believe in standing on your own two feet and using your unique skills to grow. It's up to us to pull those skills out of people," she asserts.

For other brokers looking to build a mentoring relationship with their agents, Stacy offers practical advice: "Focus on understanding each agent's strengths and challenges, meet them where they are, and provide consistent, thoughtful encouragement. It's not about rigid schedules but about being available and supportive."

For Stahl, it’s all about relationships and that’s evident in how she runs her business.
