Meet Your 2025 Florida Realtors Leadership Team

This year’s Leadership Team is committed to helping every member understand their role as "Champions for the American Dream."

As Florida Realtors® steps into 2025, the Leadership Team is laser-focused on championing what they see as a broadened vision of the American Dream.

“The American Dream is so much more than just homeownership—it’s about entrepreneurial freedom, financial independence and the ability to create and preserve wealth through real estate,” says 2025 Florida Realtors® President Tim Weisheyer, broker-owner of Dream Builders Realty in Central Florida.

This year’s Leadership Team is committed to helping every Florida Realtor understand their role as an ambassador for this vision, with initiatives aimed squarely at bolstering member success, fostering innovation, and elevating the profession across the Sunshine State.

EMPOWER: We Are the Champions for the American Dream

The Leadership Team’s theme, "Champions for the American Dream," emphasizes Realtors' essential role in their communities and underscores the broader impact of their work.

“Our members are more than just ‘members’ of an organization,” Weisheyer explains. “They’re small-business owners, community leaders and advocates who contribute significantly to the Florida and U.S. economies. In fact, the real estate sector represents upwards of one-fifth of the GDP.”  Through the Leadership Team’s initiatives, they hope to help members preserve and expand opportunities for Floridians.

ADVOCACY: Protecting Property Rights and Building Wealth

Advocacy remains at the heart of the Leadership Team’s goals, with an emphasis on protecting property rights, promoting pro-business policies and addressing key legislative issues, especially around insurance reform.

2025 Florida Realtors® Secretary Cyndee Haydon, an insurance expert and a Realtor with Future Home Realty in Seminole, is particularly focused on making homeownership more affordable through stable insurance policies.

"Insurance is a major part of the total cost of homeownership, and stabilizing it is essential,” she says. “We’re working hard to make costs predictable, especially for new homeowners in flood-prone areas.” By addressing these financial barriers, the Leadership Team believes they can make the American Dream more accessible to a wider array of Floridians.

Weisheyer highlights the association’s commitment to advocacy at every level—from city halls to Capitol Hill. “We’re the boots on the ground, often the first to see how legislative changes will affect homeowners and small businesses,” he says. “Our goal is to be a powerful, united voice in Tallahassee and beyond, ensuring our members’ interests are front and center.”

CONNECTION: Focusing On Member Success

2025 Florida Realtors Treasurer Jeffrey Levine, a broker-associate with Keller Williams Realty Services in Boca Raton, underscores the Leadership Team’s commitment to aligning the association’s activities with members’ business needs.

“We’re hyper-focused this year on making sure our volunteer leaders’ efforts translate to profitability and productivity for our members,” Levine states. “If our members are taking time away from their businesses to engage, we owe them tangible returns.”

The team is also implementing strategies to ensure members feel connected to the leadership and confident that their voices are heard. This includes strengthening the role of District Vice Presidents (DVPs) to serve as a direct line between local members and the state association.

“Our state is vast and diverse, so the needs in Miami aren’t necessarily the same as those in Jacksonville or Destin,” Levine explains. “By focusing on hyper-local needs, we ensure our decisions have the greatest positive impact across Florida.”

INNOVATION: Investing in Technology for Realtors

Jorge Guerra, Florida Realtors 2025 vice president and broker-owner of Real Estate Sales Force in Coral Gables, is leading an ambitious innovation initiative, including an innovation fund designed to position Florida Realtors® at the forefront of real estate technology. “We’re not just here to be consumers of technology; we want to invest in companies that keep Realtors® at the center of the transaction,” Guerra explains. The goal is to identify technologies that not only improve productivity but also ensure Realtors maintain their essential role in the transaction.”

Recognizing the rapid evolution of AI and other tools, Guerra stresses the importance of preparing real estate professionals for the future. “Technology is evolving faster than ever, and it’s crucial that we’re not only in the know but actively integrating useful innovations that improve our industry,” he shares. “Our goal is to identify the best technology and integrate it in ways that benefit our members’ daily business operations.”

LEADERSHIP: Building the Next Generation

For Florida Realtors 2025 President-Elect Chuck Bonfiglio, a broker with AAA Realty Group Inc. in Plantation, leadership is about more than holding a title; it’s about nurturing future leaders.

“For me, leadership is about bringing the next person up,” Bonfiglio explains. “Success is watching others succeed and knowing you had a small hand in that.” Bonfiglio’s vision includes creating continuity within the organization, so each year builds on the last without reinventing the wheel.

This year, the team will also focus on empowering leaders who can bring new perspectives to the table. “Our organization has core values—advocacy, innovation, professionalism—that provide stability, and we want leaders who can build within that framework,” Bonfiglio explains. By focusing on mentorship and continuity, the team aims to create a pipeline of strong, capable leaders who will guide the association well into the future.

IMPACT: Strengthening Connections and Localizing Engagement

Levine, whose focus is on impact, believes the key to a successful association lies in its responsiveness to member needs. He emphasizes strengthening relationships with local leaders to capture regional needs and deliver solutions that resonate with members. “Our state is diverse, and what works in one market might not in another,” Levine says. “We want to bring our decision-making closer to members, listening carefully to their challenges and opportunities.”

To this end, the Leadership Team plans to hold broker roundtables across Florida, gathering input directly from members about the tools and support they need to succeed. “We want our members to see us as accessible, accountable and fully invested in their success,” Weisheyer adds. “Every decision we make is focused on their ability to thrive.”

COMMUNITY: Embracing Servant Leadership and Making a Difference

The Leadership Team’s commitment to community impact is woven into their vision for Florida Realtors. Guerra believes in the power of Realtors to change lives, particularly during times of crisis. “We’re not only here for our commissions; we’re here to help make a difference,” he says. Guerra recalls the association’s rapid response to recent hurricanes, with members mobilizing to provide essential supplies and support to affected communities.

Weisheyer captures the Leadership Team’s philosophy on servant leadership: “True leadership is about humility, knowledge, competency and the confidence to serve. We model teamwork, mutual respect and a servant-leader mindset, which we hope to instill across every level of Florida Realtors.”

Building a Lasting Legacy

As the Florida Realtors Leadership Team steps forward into 2025, they are united in their mission to serve members and their communities in meaningful ways.

“We’re not resting on our laurels; we’re building a future where Florida Realtors will be as relevant and vital 100 years from now as they are today,” Weisheyer says. Through focused advocacy, strategic innovation, strong leadership and impactful community involvement, the 2025 team aims to elevate the association’s role in empowering members and preserving the American Dream.

Together, they are setting a foundation that will empower Realtors, inspire future leaders and ensure the organization’s lasting impact across the Sunshine State. #
