Website Strategies to Master Domain Authority
A DA (domain authority) search ranking estimates the strength of a website to search engines, such as Google – the higher the score, the better.
NEW YORK – Real estate websites should demonstrate 50-plus domain authority (DA) to help their business realize success.
Moz developed the DA search engine ranking score to forecast how well a site will rank on search engine result pages. It works on a scale of 1 to 100, and a high DA can lead to increased traffic, improved visibility and more business for real estate sites.
What makes a high-scoring site? The score is based on high-quality and relevant content, which requires up-to-date and informative property listings. Those listings should include complete details, high-resolution images, virtual tours if possible, and perhaps a blog that shares useful insights.
Also critical to a high DA score is search engine optimization (SEO), achieved through the use of relevant keywords, a well-structured site and fast page loading times.
DA can also be boosted with link building that includes high-quality and relevant external and internal links to other websites.
In addition, regularly sharing content on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram can increase a brand’s visibility, traffic and engagement, which can indirectly raise DA.
Agents should also audit their sites regularly with SEO tools to track metrics such as organic search traffic, bounce rate and backlink profile.
