NAR Settlement UPDATE

New Consumer Guide Covers Home Marketing

NAR’s newest Consumer Guide addresses common seller questions about pricing, staging, listings and working with Realtors to attract buyers.

ORLANDO, Fla. — When it comes to selling a home, a well-executed marketing strategy can make the difference between a listing that lingers on the market and one that sparks immediate interest. The newest Consumer Guide by the National Association of Realtors® explains some details about home marketing and how Realtors® help.

In the Marketing Your Home guide, NAR answers questions that sellers commonly ask about marketing, including:

  • How do buyers and other agents know I’m selling my home?
  • How can staging and other cosmetic updates make my home more marketable to potential buyers?
  • What role does home pricing play in marketing?

All of NAR’s Consumer Guides in the series, along with other resources, highlight the value of working with a Realtor® with an eye on the practice changes that began Aug. 17.

The guides can be viewed at the NAR website facts.Realtor. The Consumer Guides can also be printed as handouts. Most are available in English and Spanish.
