Prices Top Location in Dream Home Purchase
A national survey showed 39% of consumers plan to move, and Florida is among the top destinations. About 13% prefer ranch-style homes.
MIAMI – A nationwide Coldwell Banker Realty consumer survey found 56% of consumers prioritize price and 50% prioritize location when searching for a new home. Sixty percent of women prioritize price compared to 48% of men. Fifty-six percent of consumers also believe the real estate market will remain stable or improve this year.
About 39% of consumers said they plan to move to a different city, compared to 19% of consumers in 2022. The No. 1 region of the country selected by consumers as their ideal location was the South, particularly Florida.
About 13% of consumers identified the ranch style as their ideal home design. About 49% of consumers are looking for a mid-sized home of three to four bedrooms and two to three bathrooms.
