4 Tips for Staying Relevant

The RE market is changing rapidly, but seasoned agents have seen that before. Start 2024 by taking stock of the things that worked – and didn’t work – in 2023.

NEW YORK – The real estate marketing is evolving quickly as brokerage models shift, customers gain faster access to information, and technologies – including artificial intelligence (AI) – start to play a bigger role.

Agents and brokers must keep up with these changes to be successful, and Chime Technologies' Stuart Sims offers four key recommendations to help them maintain relevance.

As 2024 approaches, he suggests, realty professionals must take stock of their performance this year, with a specific eye on the opportunities they missed and the ways other people did something better. With that in hand, they can ask themselves, “What can I change to achieve better results going forward?”

Sims impresses the importance of nurturing a consistent presence on social media in order to connect with potential clients and foster trust. Devoting time and energy to lead generation is critical as well, but Sims warns against neglecting the bulk of the CRM database to chase only the hottest prospects.

Other tips for cultivating a resilient realty business:

  • Develop a network of referral partners
  • Turn to paid leads during dry spells
  • Implement AI-driven systems to handle some of the more tedious work, freeing more time to focus on the customer
