Need a Stronger Online Presence? ‘SWEAT’ It Out
The acronym starts with “S” for “Study your ideal client,” says Realtor Jimmy Burgess. Then go for “W” – “Who’s winning in other markets??
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – For a stronger and more effective presence on social media platforms, Jimmy Burgess – CEO for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida in Northwest Florida – says realty professionals need to “SWEAT.”
The first letter stands for “study your ideal client,” which should help agents figure out the best online site for them to focus marketing efforts.
The second letter equates to “who’s winning in other markets?” By this, Burgess means successful agents can provide insight and inspiration.
“Escalate your activity” is his next piece of advice, referring not only to the number of posts an agent publishes on a targeted platform, but also the level of engagement on other people’s posts in the market area of interest.
The letter A, meanwhile, is short for “add value,” done by turning the focus of content to the issues of concern to prospects – whether that happens to be the quality of local schools or breaks on closing costs and down payments.
Finally, Burgess advises, “take the long view.” Keep in mind, he explains, that social media success does not come from a single viral post or video. It is a process demanding time, consistency and commitment – but one that is absolutely worthwhile in the end.
