Services That Make Your Brokerage Stand Out

Faced with market fluctuations, many broker-owners are offering additional services like home staging to satisfy clients and strengthen their bottom line.

CHICAGO – Faced with fluctuations in the market, many broker-owners are offering additional services to satisfy clients and strengthen their bottom line.

Kris Lindahl, broker-owner of Kris Lindahl Real Estate in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, started offering staging to set apart his brokerage, eventually launched a staging company featuring tiered offerings.

For more hands-on clients who are seeking guidance, he offers a consultation and provides plans for 20 actions they can take to maximize their return on their home. Clients may also opt for full-service staging, where Lindahl's staff handles the entire process to get the property market-ready.

Lindahl also provides a guaranteed offer program for clients who want to sell their homes without the inconvenience of the selling process.

Lindahl explains, “We take on anything the seller wasn’t able to do, like renovations...It allows a seller the flexibility to line up dates when moving into their next home, which can be challenging to do.”

Palm Paradise Real Estate, a brokerage in Fort Myers, Florida, launched Motto Mortgage Freedom last year. Marcus Larrea, co-founder, broker-associate, and team lead at the real estate company, said the move was in response to frequent difficulties with outside lenders that impacted agents and customers. Larrea says he provides all the necessary disclosures to clients and does not pressure customers to use the in-house lender.

Rich Manzi, co-owner of NextHome Triad Realty in Greensboro, N.C., obtained his general contractor’s license last year. This allows his company to offer clients remodeling services “that can help them and won’t rip them off.”
