Bored With Your Facebook Feed? Jazz It Up

The easiest way? Add a video to your feed – but start with an easy one, like a short piece filmed with a friend using the camera on your phone.

NEW YORK – Facebook continues to be a major social media platform, with billions of users logging in daily, and real estate professionals can enhance their Facebook page by adding a video or two.

Agents hesitant about filming videos can try an initial one with a friend, who can hold the camera and ask the agent a few questions about real estate. The video should be posted on the agent’s other platforms as well.

Agents should also ask their clients for brief reviews that they can make visually appealing with easy-to-use programs like Canva. Some people even make review posts a regular event, such as Testimonial Tuesday.

Agents should also harness local market data and be familiar with a buyer’s area of interest. In addition, agents should stay current on news about the mortgage industry, local guidelines or restrictions on properties, and what amenities/improvements a seller should invest in to increase value.

Agents can also consider making a behind-the-scenes or inside look posts. They can be in the form of a short video or a captioned image.
