Tahlia Urbinati Jacobs: A Realtor® Balancing Work, Community and Family
NAPLES, Fla. – When it came to her work schedule, Tahlia Urbinati Jacobs used to be a typical Realtor®. “I would take calls at 10 p.m., text with buyers and sellers throughout the evening, basically work 24/7,” said the Realtor with MVP Realty in Naples. That all changed one day at the trampoline park.
“I was tumbling with my daughter in a trampoline park, and I went up to do a backflip and came down on my neck,” she said. She ended up breaking her neck.
Urbinati Jacobs recalled, “I was in a neck brace for the next nine months and had fusion surgery. I could have easily been [hurt worse and] or been paralyzed. It opened my eyes and changed how I work.”
While she still goes above and beyond for customers, the experience showed her the importance of delegating and down time. “Separating my work from my playtime allows me to live life to the fullest but also excel in my career,” she said.
Urbinati Jacobs is a third-generation Realtor, exposing her to the profession at a young age and igniting a genuine passion upon her return from college to Naples. With a background in marketing, she has adeptly leveraged her education to carve out a successful career in real estate, starting her journey in the year 2000.
Urbinati Jacobs is one of 20 Realtors in the first class to become a Florida Realtors® Board Certified Professional, a new endorsement for Realtors who have reached the pinnacle of their profession and fulfilled leadership, education and skill-based achievements over the life of their real estate careers.
Helping her with balancing work and play is the Naples Collective, her small team which includes herself, her mother and an assistant who manages the paperwork. This close-knit group prefers quality over quantity, focusing on delivering exceptional service without the aspiration to expand into a large brokerage. Urbinati Jacobs values the collaboration with her mother, who plays a significant role in generating referrals through her extensive political involvement in real estate at national and local levels.
Her business philosophy centers around knowledge and integrity. Urbinati Jacobs is committed to being well-informed about the latest trends, property values and amenities in Naples' competitive market.
Solid marketing is at the core of her success. Through social media and 3D Matterport tours, Urbinati Jacobs ensures her listings gain maximum exposure. She also utilizes tools like ChatGPT for creative writing, enhancing her property descriptions and marketing materials. She said she focuses on keeping abreast of trends and creative financing options to assist her clients effectively. Meanwhile her marketing strategies have evolved to include more financial insights, catering to both seasoned investors and first-time homebuyers apprehensive about the market’s volatility. Through a mix of social media, open houses, and print campaigns, she has been able to broaden her reach beyond her main niche in the luxury and second-home markets.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Urbinati Jacobs is deeply involved in her local community. Her efforts range from organizing hurricane relief efforts to building homes with Habitat for Humanity and supporting local charities.
“We happen to be in an area that's prone to a lot of hurricanes, so I organized a relief effort for hurricanes on more than one occasion where we've collected supplies and resources,” she said. “We’ve gone directly into the hardest hit areas in our town and answered the needs of those people. Recently, I started helping build homes with Habitat for Humanity. I feel it's very important to put all of this back into my local community.”
Her commitment to innovation, combined with a foundation of integrity and community involvement, makes Tahlia Urbinati Jacobs a Florida Realtors Board Certified Professional in her Naples community.
