Realtor® Kara Wisely: A Personal Touch in Real Estate
MOUNT DORA, Fla. – Kara Wisely is one of those rare Realtors® who embraces change. “To keep moving forward in this business is you need to be open to changes as our business changes,” says Wisely, a broker associate with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty in Mount Dora. “You always have to be open.”
Since stepping into the real estate world in 2016, Wisely has honed her expertise in 55+ communities and luxury properties.
Wisely is one of 20 Realtors in the inaugural class of Florida Realtors Board Certified Realtors®, a new endorsement for Realtors who have reached the pinnacle of their careers and fulfilled leadership, education and skill-based achievements over the life of their real estate careers.
Wisely’s approach to real estate is deeply personal. "When you deal with the 55+ community, a lot of them aren't tech-savvy. Being there with them in person versus just on the phone means a lot," she shares. This personal touch extends to her marketing strategies, where she relies heavily on direct mailers and word of mouth, resonating well with her older clientele.
In addition, education is a cornerstone of Wisely’s professional philosophy. "I took every course available at our local Realtor association when I started because I didn’t know what I didn’t know," she recalls. Her dedication to continuous learning led her to achieve numerous designations and certifications, including becoming board certified. "It’s important for clients to understand my commitment to this industry," she says.
Wisely is also heavily involved in her local community of Mount Dora. She participates in local events such as Halloween festivities and the annual Christmas tree lighting, where her office becomes a hub of activity. "We open our office and give out candy to kids at Halloween and stay open late for Light Up Mount Dora during the holidays," she says.
Wisely’s ability to connect people is another standout quality. Whether linking buyers and sellers with trusted electricians or roofers, her network is vast and reliable. "I always have a list of providers for people," she says, highlighting the importance of building and maintaining these relationships.
As Wisely continues to grow her business, she plans to leverage her board certification to further distinguish herself. She aims to highlight this achievement in her mailers and listing presentations, showcasing her commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. "It’s something that sets me apart and shows clients that I’m dedicated to doing the right things within my community," she affirms.
Wisely’s journey in real estate is a blend of heartfelt personal interactions, relentless pursuit of knowledge, and deep-rooted community ties. She understands that embracing change while staying true to one's values can lead to remarkable success in the ever-evolving world of real estate.
