Florida Realtors Named a Top Workplace

The Orlando Sentinel’s Top Workplace in Central Florida distinction is based on anonymous workplace culture surveys filled out by company employees.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Realtors® was named Friday as one of the Orlando Sentinel’s Top Workplaces in Central Florida for the fourth consecutive year.

The annual ranking is based on a confidential and unbiased study by the Philadelphia-based research firm Energage with the Sentinel and focuses on workplace culture. Surveys are filled out online and anonymously by company employees. Neither the state Realtor® association nor the Orlando Sentinel saw the responses. Florida Realtors was ranked #22 in the Small Employer category.

The award is the second such recognition for Florida Realtors in as many months. In August, Florida Realtors was recognized by Florida Trend magazine as one of the Top 100 Best Companies To Work For In Florida. The survey ranked 100 companies in small, medium and large employer categories. Florida Realtors ranked 24th in the best mid-sized category (50-249 employees).

“At Florida Realtors, we invite our employees into the discussion for our mission as the ‘Voice for Real Estate in Florida,’” Florida Realtors CEO Margy Grant said. “Our employees are as important to our brand as any of our products, tools or services. Here at Florida Realtors, building a workforce partnership that relies on trust, integrity, teamwork and empowerment is at the heart of our culture. It’s an honor to be recognized once again as a ‘Top Workplace in Central Florida.’”

Florida Realtors has 120 employees working in its Central Florida office, which is located just north of Orlando International Airport at 7025 Augusta National Drive in Orlando. The association also has a Public Policy office in Tallahassee.

Florida Realtors celebrated 100 years of service in 2016. Its first meeting took place in 1916, when 68 real estate brokers from 16 Florida communities met in Jacksonville for the first convention.

Today, the association is the largest professional trade association in the state with more than 200,000 members – and it recently became the largest state Realtor association in the U.S. It’s made up of 51 local and regional Realtor associations or boards. Membership is voluntary and includes residential and commercial agents and brokers, as well as appraisers, real estate counselors, property managers, real estate specialists and related industry affiliates.

“I’d like to thank our people for their work in supporting our members and the mission of Florida Realtors,” Florida Realtors Director of Human Resources Chris Mini said. “I am honored to work with such a talented and dedicated team who amazes me daily. Thank you for making Florida Realtors the best workplace it can be!”
