ORLANDO, Fla. — Twice a year, the Florida Realtors® Research Department takes an in-depth look at the major economic trends nationally and within the state of Florida and brings the information to Florida Realtors members in the form of our Economist Report.
Previously only available in print version at the annual convention and Mid-Winter meetings, this important report is now available to all members via a digital flipbook.
Volume 3, Issue 1 was published in January 2025 and includes an array of topics relevant to Realtors®. It begins with the state of the market, including our expectations for the impact of inflation on housing prices and consumers’ purchasing power. We then take a deeper look at some of the major demographic trends impacting the real estate market, including a profile of first-time home buyers and family dynamics. We also look at shifts in educational attainment and Florida’s employers, focusing on changes in manufacturing. Finally, we look at the property insurance issue and what is driving rate increases and potential decreases.
