New NAR Guides Clarify Agency Roles, Appraisals
Two new guides – Agency and Non-Agency Relationships and The Appraisal Process – help customers make informed decisions and highlight a Realtor’s value.
ORLANDO, Fla. — The latest Consumer Guides by the National Association of Realtors® clarifies the difference between agency and non-agency relationships between buyers, sellers and real estate professionals and outlines the appraisal process.
The two guides – Agency and Non-Agency Relationships and The Appraisal Process – are the 16th and 17th in NAR’s series to empower customers with the tools they need to make informed choices following the practice changes that began Aug. 17. The series is designed to promote informed decision-making, enhance professional readiness and highlight the benefits of working with a Realtor®.
Like the other Consumer Guides, the newest ones — along with other resources — can be viewed at the NAR website facts.Realtor. The Consumer Guides can also be printed as handouts. Most are available in English and Spanish.
