Upcoming Webinars About Practice Changes

Florida Realtors will be hosting two webinars early next week to provide Realtors with crucial information about listing agreements and buyer representation.

ORLANDO, Fla. – In the coming weeks, Florida Realtors® will be hosting online events to help Realtors® move forward with the proposed settlement practice changes that begin Aug. 17. Early next week, two of those webinars will focus on crucial topics – listing agreements and buyer representation.

  • 2-3:30 p.m. ET
  • The Florida Realtors legal team will host a discussion about the amended Exclusive Right of Sale Listing Agreement to help Realtors do business in a post-NAR settlement world.

Buyer Representation – What You Need to Know

  • 1-2:30 p.m. ET
  • A conversation with Patti Ketcham – Ketcham is a respected and popular instructor for real estate continuing education. She has served on the Florida Real Estate Commission since 2017, a position appointed by the governor. Ketcham has been awarded Florida Realtors Educator of the Year, REBI FL Chapter Instructor of the Year and is part of the Professional Member National Speaker Association. She is the owner of the Tallahassee-based Ketcham Realty Group.

In this webinar, Realtors will learn:

  • What is required as of 8/17
  • Understand Florida “agency relationships” and Buyer Representation

The National Association of Realtors® legal affairs will be hosting free one-hour live webinars about navigating the upcoming practice changes, including:

  • Timely updates on the settlement process
  • What you can expect when the practice changes take effect
  • Tips for answering consumer questions regarding class notices
  • Tools and resources you can leverage to effectively navigate the practice changes and communicate accurate information to your consumers, clients and customers.
