What Social Media Apps Do Luxury Brokers Use?
While most social media apps work at all price levels, a Chicago agent says Real Messenger, 1060 and Ri.la have properties that appeal to luxury clients.
CHICAGO – Chicago-area real estate agent Anne Ewasko recommends that luxury brokers take advantage of three social media apps to foster and manage relationships with new and current customers:
- REAL Messenger: The REAL Messenger app accesses a private community where buyers, sellers and agents can network over exclusive pocket listings. In addition to being free, the app is self-branding, can search for specific amenities and offers various listing ratings. It’s available on iOS and Android devices.
Its shortcomings include a limited number of locations and a built-in restriction for one filter at a time. It’s also not extremely user-friendly and a search can yield unrelated returns.
- 1060: The free 1060 app allows brokers to view an infinite stream of properties in short-form videos, which agents can use to interest younger and more active audiences. Its pluses include a property search function, user-friendly interface and multiple search filters. It’s available on Android and iOS devices.
It's only negative point: There’s no website version.
- Ri.la: The third free app, Ri.la, simplifies property promotion and localization with a user-friendly interface, interactivity, crowdsourced content and by-neighborhood home browsing. It also includes agent verification for added security.
“These real estate apps serve as private clubs where luxury brokers and agents showcase exclusive pocket listings to their high-paying clients and reach new customers,” writes Ewasko. “Agents can easily create captivating and effortless content showcasing their properties, share upcoming events and open-house dates, and generate leads from curated posts on these platforms.”
