Florida Realtors PAC Wins Triple Crown

The NAR Triple Crown Award is given to associations that hit their state-specific RPAC goals and local associations that meet NAR-specified criteria.

WASHINGTON — Some said it was impossible. Others claimed it would take a miracle.

But at the end of the day, after a mountain of hard work and extraordinary member engagement, the unattainable goal of a National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Triple Crown award was finally realized by Florida Realtors®.

"Winning the Triple Crown is an absolutely stunning achievement for any Realtor organization, but the large size of our association makes earning this award even more special," says 2018 Florida Realtors President Christine Hansen. "This really is a huge milestone for us, and I can't thank our investors enough for their contributions and their dedication to the Realtor profession. This is a magical moment that sets the table for more success to come!"

NAR's Triple Crown award recognizes state associations that meet their state-specific RPAC (Realtors Political Action Committee) goals and local associations that meet NAR-specified criteria during the current fundraising year (Jan. 1-Dec. 31 annually). In order to obtain the State Triple Crown Award, Florida Realtors had to achieve the following individual goals:

  • State's National RPAC Fundraising Goal
  • State's Federal RPAC Disbursements Allocation
  • State's Major Investor Goal
  • State's President's Circle Goal
  • State's Participation Goal

"The Triple Crown has always been our white whale, eluding us at every turn due to our size as an organization," says 2018 Florida Realtors PAC Trustees Chairwoman Ann DeFries. "But the most unattainable goals are also the most satisfying when you finally hit them. I'm just so proud of our membership and our organization for never giving up and proving that with enough hard work, anything is possible."

A number of local Realtor organizations in Florida also achieved Triple Crown status:

The two winning associations are:

To win the President's Cup, these two organizations had to:

"Congratulations to all of our local Triple Crown and President's Cup winners," says Florida Realtors Party Coordinating Committee Chairman Mike Bruno. "Our success as an organization starts with you, and the work you are doing to engage with your members and make them an active voice within our organization is simply awesome. Keep up the hard work!"
