In-Person Convention Update: Masks Required for All Attendees
We look forward to welcoming you in-person to our events in Orlando. As the spread of COVID-19 is still a concern, following are our safety protocols while onsite at the Rosen Shingle Creek.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued new guidance in response to the highly contagious and fast-spreading Delta variant of the coronavirus. The CDC believes the Delta variant spreads more easily and quickly and may lead to more cases of COVID-19. An increase in the number of cases will put more strain on healthcare resources. As a result, the CDC recommends greater caution in areas of substantial or high transmission levels. As seen in the CDC’s interactive, county-based map of the country, this currently includes large portions of Florida. The CDC’s data tracker and map are updated daily.
We ask all in-person registrants to speak to their medical professional about attendance at the Florida Realtors® in-person Convention & Trade Expo. The CDC recommends taking precautions if you are not fully vaccinated. Your vaccination status and personal health may make the virtual convention option the right choice for you. Your attendance is the result of your agreement to abide by all current CDC guidelines. The agreement includes any new guidelines issued before and during the convention.
Based on these new guidelines, masks will be REQUIRED for all attendees, regardless of vaccination status, unless the attendee is ACTIVELY eating or drinking.
Because wellness is vital to Florida Realtors, we have partnered with a medical organization to provide onsite COVID-19 vaccinations at no cost to you. In addition, we have partnered with a medical organization to provide the flu shot. Please bring your health insurance card, as the shot will need to be billed to your insurance carrier. (Most insurance companies cover 100% of the cost of flu vaccination as preventative care; please contact your carrier for more information). Supplies are limited, so vaccinations are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Know that the convention venue is open to the public and other groups. Florida Realtors makes no representations about the safety protocols of attendees of other events or members of the public.
Florida Realtors looks forward to welcoming in person all those who may safely attend, given their health and vaccination status. For all others, we look forward to seeing you within the safety of the complimentary virtual platform.
The health and continued well-being of our members is Florida Realtors’ primary concern.
Be well and stay safe.
